Keep your own copy.
We don’t have accounts, and this backup never leaves your device. The game sends nothing on its own. The only things that ever leave are a Weekly Boss result, if you switch Global Rank on yourself, and whatever you choose to send us through the feedback form — the Privacy page lists exactly what each one carries. Your progress is saved only on this device. If you clear your browser, switch devices, or reinstall, it’s gone unless you back it up.
Saves everything ThinkMantis remembers to a dated file on this device.
Puts a saved file back. Your current progress is copied first, so you can undo it.
Puts back the progress you had before your first restore. It stays available until you undo it or choose to keep what you have now.
What is in the file.
Everything ThinkMantis keeps for you on this device: your leaves and rank, what you own in the Leaf Shop, your records and best runs, your settings, and the games you have played. Nothing else — there is no name, no email and no account in it, because we never had any.
Where the file goes.
Wherever your browser puts downloads, on this device. It never leaves it unless you move it yourself, and ThinkMantis cannot see it after that. Keeping it somewhere you can find again — a cloud drive, a folder you sync, a mail to yourself — is what makes it useful later.
If a restore goes wrong.
It shouldn’t. A backup carries a checksum, so a file that has been damaged or edited is refused before anything is written and your progress is left exactly as it was. And before any restore is applied, the progress you have right now is copied first — the Undo button above puts it straight back.
This page works offline, like the rest of the game.
